Christmas may not come for Lee County children
The Salvation Army is in urgent need of gifts for children 7-12 years old
With only two days remaining to prepare gifts for local children, The Salvation Army is without presents to provide to boys and girls ages 7-12. Some 1,000 gifts are needed – 500 for boys and 500 for girls – to be distributed to families in need in Lee County. Suggested items include craft kits, small mp3 players, headphones, small portable speakers and other age-appropriate gifts.
Donations can be dropped off at The Salvation Army’s Christmas warehouse at 2744 Edison Avenue, Warehouse 1, Unit 1, until 4:30 p.m. today and between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Friday, December 16. Families who signed up for Christmas assistance will begin coming to pick up gifts and food on Saturday, December 17.
