The Salvation Army's Angel Tree program provides Christmas gifts for children ages 0-12 whose families have proven financial hardship. These are kids who, without the generosity of people in our community, might not otherwise receive gifts for Christmas.

When you pick an angel from the tree, you will have the information you need to make that child's Christmas brighter, including the child's first name, clothing size, age, and details about what kinds of gifts they might like to receive.

The Salvation Army's Angel Tree program started 36 years ago by Ltcs. Charles and Shirley White.

Am I the only person buying gifts for the child I choose?

Yes! Each Angel tag is unique to one child in the program. The information about the child and his or her interests were provided by the parent or guardian. We do also collect gifts for "forgotten angels" whose tags did not get selected or whose sponsors did not provide the minimum requirements.

What ages are the children in the program?

The Angel Tree program is for children ages 0-12.

How did the families qualify to be in the program?

Families applied for The Salvation Army's holiday assistance programs which included Angel Tree and Thanksgiving food assistance. Families had to bring proof of all income and expenses in order to verify that they met our requirements for financial hardship.

What do I need to provide if I select an Angel?

We ask that you provide a minimum of one gift and one outfit.
