Be a Volunteer Red Kettle Bell Ringer this Christmas!

Red Kettle Bell Ringers

Your church or group can get recognition for sponsoring a day of bell ringing!

Volunteers are always needed to ring bells at our red kettle locations around Martin, St. Lucie and Okeechobee Counties. It’s a fun and easy way to give back and support the Salvation Army’s programs that serve local families in need. This year, the red kettle season begins Thursday, November 16th, and runs through Saturday, December 23rd. We ring every day except Sundays and Thanksgiving Day.

Timeslots for individual bell ringers are generally 10 am to noon, noon to 2pm, 2pm to 5pm and 5 pm to about 8pm. Volunteers are permitted to bring their own chair, if needed. Groups of 2 or 3 ringers are welcome. Ringers can also sing or play instruments. Be creative!

Church groups, clubs and other organizations can schedule an entire day of bell ringing and receive recognition for their group. Typically, an organization will create five 2-hour timeslots or 10 1-hour timeslots for their members. Each organization receives a sign to be posted at the red kettle as well as recognition on Facebook and Twitter.
