rebuilding after Irma

Let’s do this.

Partnership is helping repair homes and lives after Irma.

Collier County— June 7, 2018 — Home Depot, The United Way of Collier County, and The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services are partnering to repair homes damaged by Hurricane Irma in Collier County.

“Qualified households can receive up to $10,000 in supplies needed for repairs,” said Ashley Jones, Director of Social Services for The Salvation Army Naples Regional Coordinate.

Unmet Needs

The unmet housing needs in Florida due to Hurricane Irma are greater than housing assistance dollars available according to the State of Florida Action Plan for Disaster Recovery. The “Let’s do This.” grant program managed by The Salvation Army Naples Regional Coordinate was designed to help residents complete needed home repairs not covered by insurance or FEMA.

The “Let’s do This” program Availability

The “Let’s do This” program is part of The Salvation Army Naples Regional Coordinate’s Disaster Assistance Center services. Salvation Army Disaster Case Managers work with Irma impacted residents to determine assistance eligibility.
