Kettle Coordinator: 15.00 per hour, 40 hours per week
  • Ability to follow instructions and work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to prepare accurate and complete records and reports.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with volunteers and staff.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and evaluate the work of volunteers and staff.
  • Ability to maintain database.
 
Christmas Kettle Bell Ringer: $8.25 per hour, 40 hours per week
We are seeking energetic, outgoing, and highly motivated community members to work as Christmas Kettle Bell Ringers.
  • Rings Bells for The Salvation Army Christmas Program at assigned locations.
  • Must be friendly and dependable.
  • Talk and interact with co-workers, supervisors, shoppers.
  • Monday through Saturday
  • Ability to stand in one location for extended periods in outside weather conditions with breaks and lunch periods as required by State law.
It is necessary to subscribe to certain basic procedures to ensure the successful operation of The Salvation Army Kettle Program.
  1. I will be willing to wear Salvation Army identification.
  2. I will wear an apron specified by The Salvation Army.
  3. I will maintain a neat and clean appearance at all times.
  4. I will not smoke, drink, or use drugs while working on the kettles.
  5. I will be flexible in adjusting to whatever working schedule and locations are necessary.
  6. I will represent The Salvation Army to the best of my ability.
  7. I will follow basic safety guidelines.

Disaster Assistance Center Volunteer Greeter

The Salvation Army of Collier County is looking for volunteers to work at our Operation Lasting Hope Disaster Assistance Center (DAC). Volunteer Greeter will welcome hurricane Irma survivors with a warm, friendly smile and explain what services are offered, list participating agencies providing services and give the survivor a number. Greeter will have a desk near the entrance. This is an excellent position for someone who can't stand for long periods of time or has mobility issues. Disaster Assistance Center Volunteer Warehouse Shopper

The Salvation Army of Collier County is looking for warm hearted volunteers to work at our Operation Lasting Hope Disaster Assistance Center (DAC). The Volunteer Warehouse Shopper will walk through the warehouse with a hurricane Irma survivor and assist them with selecting needed household items. If comfortable, Volunteer can offer a word of prayer. Disaster Center Volunteers will help us give the survivor a "shopping experience", avoiding the undignified feeling and stigma which often shroud a visit to a charity. Disaster Assistance Center Volunteer Warehouse Stock Person

The Salvation Army of Collier County is looking for able-bodied volunteers to work at our Operation Lasting Hope Disaster Assistance Center (DAC). Individual will pack and unpack donated items on shelves in main warehouse and storage areas, breakdown and dispose of boxes into recycle bin, maintain a clean and organized area in and around the Disaster Assistance Center including the warehouse, lobby, halls, restrooms, and breakroom. Disaster Assistant Center Dress Code:Volunteers must wear closed toed shoes. No high heeled shoes. Tasteful jeans, shorts, T-shirts and sweatshirts are acceptable. Please plan to lock your personal belongings in the trunk of your car or leave them at home. Workers may not listen to music or talk on cell phones while volunteering due to safety reasons.
