The Salvation Army Naples provides Christmas assistance for senior citizens and families throughout Collier County. The services offered are Christmas gifts and toys for children 0-12 years old, senior citizens activities and holiday gifts, and Christmas meal food boxes for families. Registration is required for an individual to be served. Eligibility for the assistance at Christmas/holiday time is based on crisis and/or family needs. Volunteers give their time to assist families and individuals walk through the registration process. The interview and registration procedures allow for the identification of family needs and referrals are available as identified. This year, we want everyone to have a Christmas.
All families must register online at www.NaplesChristmasCheer.com to be assigned an on-site registration date and location. Registration will be held in Immokalee and Naples.
The program is available for families with children up to 12 years old. When applying, the “Head of the Household” is asked to bring the following information:
Each year, The Salvation Army in Collier County helps those less fortunate have a more enjoyable holiday season. Residents pre-register to receive food at Thanksgiving and Christmas, along with clothing and toys based on the number of people in the family. The Salvation Army acts as a focal point for Christmas assistance applications so that holiday gifts are fairly distributed and duplication of services is avoided, utilizing interagency software provided by Solutions by Software.
We are the official partner of the Annual Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign. Businesses, schools, churches, organizations and individuals can bring the toys to any Salvation Army location in Collier or arrangements for collection can be made by calling Maria Ramos at 239-210-4009.
Volunteers sort and package toys for each child adopted at our Angel Trees and prepare the toys and Thanksgiving and Christmas food boxes for Holiday distribution to Immokalee and Naples-area families in need. This position requires a lot of mobility and some lifting, but in exchange you get to feel like you work at the North Pole!
