The Naples Corps developed our Music School curriculum based on a program run by the Miami Area Command. Classes encourage the students to work on the following essential skills through music instruction: social development, communication, critical assessment, self-concept, creativity, cooperation and self-discipline.
Our program is led by our interim Music Director, Captain Ricky Perez, and classes are held at the Worship Center located at 3170 Estey Avenue in Naples.
We have also recently introduced performing arts to our programming. Please contact us for more information and schedules.
Classes are offered Monday through Friday and are both instrumental and choral for children aged 7-16.
Each class lasts one hour and are small in size, averaging 5 to 7 students per class.
Many students currently enrolled receive full or partial scholarships as they are from low socio-economic backgrounds.
The cost for this program is subsidized by donations of time, talent and treasure from generous donors.
To learn more about enrollment, please contact Captain Ricky Perez at 239-210-3084.
Music is a powerful medium that enriches lives. Access to music instruction provides the opportunity for youth to develop the skills, discipline, and focus that will enrich their own lives and give them tools to be a positive force in the world around them.
