Major Elizabeth Arrowood – Center for Worship & Service Corps

Major Elizabeth joined the Sarasota Corps as Associate officer in February, 2016.  She has been with The Salvation Army all of her life.  Her parents and her grandmother served as Officer’s in
The Salvation Army.  Major Arrowood has served as an officer for 21 years and has worked for The Salvation Army for more than 35 years. She has had a variety of experiences within The Salvation Army such as, HR Director at The Salvation Adult Rehabilitation Center in Dallas Texas. She was a Divisional Christian Educational Director in Dallas, Texas as well as a Corps Officer in several appointments.

Major Arrowood “has a pure calling to minister to those less fortunate than her.” Her true desire is to lead people to better understanding of how much Jesus sacrificed for them and how much He loves them. Her heart is for the Lord and for those fallen short of the glory of God.

Captain Andy Bailey

Captain Andy Bailey was welcomed to the Center of Hope Corps in June, 2016. He has served as an active Salvation Army Officer for 8 years. His most recent assignment prior to coming to Sarasota was with The Salvation Army ALM (Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi) Division. The father of three daughters, he also spent 10 years working as a Salvation Army employee prior to becoming an officer. Captain Bailey attended the University of Alabama, Brownville Revival School of Ministry and graduated from FIRE School of Ministry with a degree in Practical Ministry. Captain Bailey has a heart for ministering to the homeless and says one of his joys of ministry is he "loves to see God's transforming hand in the lives of OTHERS as they draw closer to Him."
