The Salvation Army in Florida is actively meeting human needs without discrimination. We invest in our communities by investing in individuals, not only meeting short-term basic needs, but providing a caring continuum of services to the families and individuals we serve. Last year The Salvation Army assisted more than 1.1 million people in the state through social services. We offer many unique, comprehensive and sophisticated programs, which address the multiple needs that are evident across the state. Our services are extensive and differ in our various locations. They include emergency assistance, homeless services, food distribution centers, transitional housing, domestic violence shelters, supervised visitation, foster care, day care and after school programs, summer camps, elderly residential centers, medical and dental clinics, HIV/AIDS housing, crisis counseling, career counseling and job training, probation counseling, tutoring, adult rehabilitation, drug treatment centers and Christmas cheer programs. Ministry to the whole person - body, mind and spirit - are the hallmarks of the services offered by The Salvation Army. |
