| Library Mission Statement |
| The Library Resource Center (LRC) supports the overall mission of The Salvation Army's Florida Division by meeting the information needs of the organization, providing resources for research, as well as conducting research; serving as a repository for historical materials on the Army's work in Florida; providing general information sources and staff development materials; and providing a collection of resources and activities to support Salvation Army personnel in the carrying out of the Army's mission. |
Library Services
GENERAL COLLECTION A general collection of books, periodicals, newpapers, pamphlets, photographs, CD's and DVD's is being developed. The collection will circulate to officers, soldiers and employees of the Florida Division, as well as through interlibrary loan. |  |

| REFERENCE & RESEARCH ASSISTANCE Reference service including securing information and assisting with the usage of sources is provided. Answers to research questions will be obtained and direction will be given toward quality reference materials. A reference collection is being developed. |

RARE BOOK COLLECTION
A rare book and artifact collection is being developed which will specialize in Salvation Army historical materials. While these will not be availble for loan, library patrons are encouraged to set up a time for research or review at the Library Resource Center. |  |

 | CORPS LIBRARY MODEL AND SUPPORT Guidance and assistance will be provided to the local corps in the establishment and maintenance of corps libraries, including a model for organization aquisitions, marketing, as well as ongoing collection development recommendations. |
