Social Services Duke Energy Assistance* is available by appointment.

(Please note that Duke Energy assistance* is available as long as subsidies have not been exhausted.)

Utility assistance is available 1 time per year, per household.


Social Service Food Pantry* is available by appointment on Wednesdays, between 9:00 A.M. and 12:00 P.M.

Food pantry assistance* is available 1 time per 90 day period, per household.


 The following documents are needed for one’s appointment:

*   ID for the head of household

*   SS cards for everyone in the household

*   Lease

*   Proof of expenses (bills)

*   Proof of income (pay stubs, food stamp letter, etc.)

*   Proof of emergency

Emergency financial assistance may change depending upon case requirement.

Social Services

  • Financial Assistance

    Available once every twelve months for Duke Energy electric utilities, but is limited to emergency situations. Emergency situations are justified by producing a Shut-Off Notice or a Notice of Eviction. No deposit or rental assistance is available.
  • Food Pantry Assistance

    In the case of an unforeseen emergency, an individual will need to provide the following documentation when coming to The Salvation Army. Example: A recent utility bill within the last 30 days. * Photo I.D. for the head of household or the person making application for assistance.   • Emergency Clothing

    Available for extenuating circumstances. Victims of disaster or fire should contact The American Red Cross and live in Pasco County.
