 A variety of items can be found at The Salvation Army Family Store.  Each item sold at our Family Store has been donated by the public.  Proceeds from sales are used to support programs of The Salvation Army, including our Social Services Department’s assistance programs for residents of East Polk County experiencing a crisis.

All donated items may be used for tax deduction — ask for a receipt when donating your goods.

Donations

Most items are accepted but must be clean and in sellable condition (i.e., in working order, unbroken, free of rips, tears, holes, and stains).

To be more specific on what items can be donated:

Sporting Goods/Games/PCs/Books/Textbooks/Shoes/Furniture

Figurines/Decoration/Backpacks/School/Exercise Machines

Pick-ups

If you have no means to transport large items for donation please call the Pick Up Department at (863) 294-7493 (Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 4:30 pm) to schedule.

The Salvation Army provides short term emergency assistance to families and individuals. Basic purposes include assisting families in the solution of problems that interfere with healthy living, to promote individual and family stability, and to assist in an awareness of God’s care and love for every individual.

  3. Utility/Electricity Assistance (As funding will allow)
  4. Disaster (Clothing, furniture, food, etc.)

Red Shield Lodge

Only accommodates women and children (no boys over the age of 12). Starts with a two week “Emergency Stay”.  After the two week period you may appeal for an extension.
