The Salvation Army provides youth character-building programs, music education, camping opportunities, and more.

Providing services that help nurture the love of learning are among the highest priorities of The Salvation Army. Through our youth character-building programs, we provide a positive, stimulating environment in which to learn and a wide range of educational opportunities for children of all ages.

The Salvation Army offers high-quality after-school activities, summer camps, character development classes, leadership training, and more.

Character Building Programs and School of Music Programs (Tuesday and Wednesday evenings)

Our free Tuesday evening and Wednesday evening programs are an incredible resource to families in our community who are looking for high-quality and accessible education for their children after school hours. Applications are available at our center on Belcher Rd., but you can also read our handbook and apply online using the buttons below:

Open House & Meet the Teacher Night

Wednesday August 22 at 5:00 p.m.

Free dinner, fun games and prizes, as well as opportunities to learn more about the program and our leaders. Attendance is mandatory to join or continue in the Fall.

 

Character Building Classes (Pre-K & Up)

Fall 2018: August 28 – December 4

Spring 2019: January 8 – May 14

Tuesdays 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Bible based life skill classes and recreation with students divided into fun groups, such as “Sunbeams”, by age and gender.

School of Music (3rd Grade & Up)

Fall 2018: August 29 – December 5

Spring 2019: January 9 – May 15

Wednesday 5:00 p.m. – 7:45 p.m.

Christ-centered music instruction in brass, dance, guitar, percussion, piano, as well as group singing. Instruments are loaned for free.

Summer Camp (Sleep Away) – Camp Keystone

Children enrolled in The Salvation Army’s Youth and Music Programs throughout the school year have the opportunity to attend Camp Keystone, located in beautiful northeast Florida, where they can make new friends, enjoy the outdoors, and create memories that will last a lifetime!

Along the way, children learn about themselves, the importance of teamwork, and the difference God can make in their lives.

Dates: Weekly youth and music camps for various ages take place between June 18 – July 21.

 

Vacation Bible School – Shipwrecked

The Shipwrecked Vacation Bible School will take children on an uncharted island and anchor them in the truth that Jesus carries us through life’s storms.

Dates: July 30 – August 3 | 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Graduation: August 5
