National Salvation Army Week
Celebrating National Salvation Army Week
Every May, we take a moment to pause, reflect, and celebrate during National Salvation Army Week — a time to honor the people and partnerships that make Doing the Most Good possible.
Established in 1954 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower, National Salvation Army Week serves as a reminder of the ongoing impact of The Salvation Army’s mission in communities across the nation. Here in Orlando and Osceola County, it’s also a time to celebrate the incredible volunteers, donors, and community partners who stand beside us in service.
Honoring Our Volunteers
From helping at food pantries and shelters to mentoring youth and supporting events, our volunteers are the heart of our local efforts. Their time, compassion, and dedication allow us to meet urgent needs every day — and we couldn’t do it without them.
Celebrating Our Partners
Our mission is stronger because of the support of businesses, churches, schools, civic groups, and local leaders who partner with us to extend our reach. Whether it’s providing resources, opening doors, or rallying their communities, our partners play a vital role in helping us serve thousands of neighbors each year.
Thank You for Standing With Us
This week, we honor every hand that helps, every heart that gives, and every voice that advocates. Together, you make hope possible. You make healing possible. You make change possible.
From all of us at The Salvation Army of Orlando and Osceola County, thank you.
