    Plans, directs, coordinates, and monitors the day-to-day operations of Sallie House, which provides professional and stable placement for children in crisis. This position implements and evaluates program operations and services; supervises all program staff and ensures work complies, with established policies and procedures, with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as contractual obligations. Ensures integration into other Salvation Army services and programs. The Program Director will serve to comply and maintain relationships with Sallie House employees, cooperates and reports to the Director of Social Services all compliance matters, licensing, accreditation, grant and contractual obligations.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Supervises and monitors the day-to-day activities of the program pertaining to all housing, facility maintenance, nutritional needs of the children, as well as addressing medical needs, vehicle logs, food, clothing, furniture, educational, vocational assistance. Ensures that the facility and all program matters follow established Salvation Army mission and policies and procedures. The Program Director will work closely with interviewing prospective children for admission to the program, determines eligibility, adhering and implementing strict guidelines for reporting incidents, and proper documentation is kept. High level of confidentiality for protection of the children and is responsible to report any negligence or suspected abuse in accordance to The Salvation Army’s policies and procedures and the employee manual. Office management, training of employees, maintaining all certification updates for employees, maintenance and approval and entry of payroll, and employee time sheets. knowledge, communication, interpersonal skills. Provides leadership in the community and will be responsible to do public speaking as needed. The Program Director should have experience and knowledge in issues of domestic and sexual abuse, crisis intervention counseling. This position does require knowledge and practices of trauma informed care in children. This job will require flexible work hours including some evenings and weekend hours. Availability for hours and shift coverage will be required as needed. There are times the job will require some discomfort in weather conditions associated with noise. The position does require a high level of attendance, ability to read, write and communicate the English language. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Psychology, or related field. And/or Two years progressively responsible experience in administering and developing social service programs with a bachelor’s degree in related field. Or/ any equivalent combination of training, education and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform all the required job duties. LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES: Licensed Clinical Social Worker Licenses Mental Health Counselor This position does require a Valid Florida driver’s license, acceptable driving record per The Salvation Army’s vehicle Insurance requirements. It is a requirement to have and obtain on a consistent basis certification in CPR, First Aid, and all other required training classes needed for continuation of compliance. This job does require a full background screening, drug test, FBI fingerprinting check, FDLE criminal check, local law checks, driving history, child abuse and neglect registry check.

    Provides stable, long-term respite care to foster children at assigned Children’s Village homes during the absence of the regular Children’s Village Parent. Works closely with the regular Village Parent and professional staff to continue to ensure the educational, medical and emotional treatment needs of the children are met; respects the religious and cultural background of each child. Follows through and implements the established schedule and routine developed by the Children’s Village Parent for a safe, healthy, comfortable home environment. Maintains the confidentiality of the children placed in the Village home. This person may be called upon to cover any home during holidays, sick leave, and vacation times.

    • The Associate Village Parent must have an understanding of child development and is able to utilize this knowledge in developing individual plans for each child in relation to skill development and to behavior management. The Village Parent, will be responsible for administering the budget for the home and implementing the scheduling and structure necessary for a safe, healthy, sanitary environment. Ensures integration into other Salvation Army Services. Assists with maintaining the cleanliness and order of the home. Also enforces the implementation of established routines and schedules for orderly, safe, clean operation of the household; reports any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel for timely repairs. Is responsible to provide transportation in The Salvation Army vehicles to school, activities and appointments. Monitors school attendance and progress; records special needs and accomplishments.

    • Accepts and processes residents staying in residential center e overnight; receives and receipts fees received from residents; monitors the activity of residents on an assigned shift ensuring safety, security and compliance with house rules; maintains accurate and complete records and logs containing pertinent information; ensures that lodge is maintained in a neat and proper order. Monitors the activities of the residential center residents ensuring safety and compliance with house rules; checks the security of all windows and doors; makes periodic rounds of entire facility; records any situations involving incident reports, violations of policy/procedure or other out-of-the-ordinary occurrences on assigned shift. Prepares and distributes meal tickets; distributes towels, linens, and personal hygiene items.
    • Receives, receipts and processes payments for program service fees and updates intake cards as needed; obtains clients signature on forms, including residential center rules and regulations. Walks the perimeter of the property as assigned, directing loiterers and ensuring the security of the facility.
    • Responds to emergencies in a calm manner and initiates appropriate action, including corrective action, in accordance with established policy and procedures. This position requires basic office procedure knowledge and practices of general reports needed for monitoring of the clients. Requires ability to meet attendance requirements and communicate the English language as the primary language. Should have some crises intervention skills. Must meet and maintain eligibility requirements for Level II background check and motor vehicle requirements for the organizations insurance system.
