A loving family of three, two women and a young boy, embrace warmly on a bed beneath a sign that reads “family,” bathed in soft, hopeful light.

Every Family Deserves a Path Forward

Every family deserves to stay together when life gets hard. Too many working parents in our community are one crisis away from losing everything, forced to choose between keeping the lights on or feeding their kids.

Last year, our community came together to help more than 27 million people with emergency housing, food assistance, and the case management that gets families back on solid ground.

When you give today, you become the reason a parent can look their child in the eye and say "we're going to be okay."

Your Kindness Changes Real Lives

Families in distress are more common than most think. Nationally in 2024:

  • 27 million people received support from Salvation Army services
  • 166.7 million meals were served across the country
  • 9.17 million nights of shelter were provided to individuals and families
  • 1.45 million volunteers helped power this compassion

These numbers reflect something deeper: the daily courage of families asking for help, and the strength of communities who respond.

In the Eastern Territory, families find meaningful help through personalized support, child-safe programs, and more, all thanks to your compassion.

Help a Family Today

Real People. Real Struggles. Real Strength.

One mother arrives with her young children, having left everything behind. A grandfather asks for help feeding his grandkids during a difficult month. A father, laid off from work, just needs a hand to steady the ground beneath his feet.

These aren't rare stories. They're everyday realities.

You Can Be Part of What's Good

Whether you've supported this work before or you're learning about it for the first time, you are warmly invited into it.

Because every meal served, every family housed, every child comforted, happens through a shared effort of kindness, prayer, and love.

This page is here to show you what's possible when compassion moves us. If you feel called to take the next step, there are ways to help. And if you're here because your own family needs support, please know this:

You are welcome. You are worthy. You are not alone.

A Quiet Invitation

If today finds you in a place to give - of time, of prayers, or of resources, your generosity becomes someone else's turning point.

And if today you simply want to learn, reflect, or feel part of something meaningful, know that this mission includes you, too.

Together, we create space for hope to grow.
